- Lady Wisdom (2026)
Lady Wisdom is the 17th studio album by the Christian female vocal trio Point of Grace . It was released on March 27, 2026 by Word/Curb Records. Lady Wisdom marked the return of Point of Grace with their first album of new original material in over 14 years. Their last album of original songs was A Thousand Little Things in 2012. The trio has since released a series of cover albums ( Directions Home , Beautiful Name and Turn Your Eyes ) and their 2017 Christmas album Sing Noël . The album was heavily inspired by the Book of Proverbs, particularly the personification of wisdom found in Chapter 8. The trio intended for the project to be a "body of work anchored to God’s Word" that points listeners toward the Bible as the ultimate source of guidance. It reflects their perspective as wives and mothers, exploring themes of growth, seasoned faith, and finding peace amid pain. Point of Grace's long-time collaborator Cindy Morgan produced the album's six tracks with co-producer Stephen Lieweke and Mike Wrucke produced the remaining four tracks. Lady Wisdom was preceded by the lead single "Stand," which was released on January 9, 2026. The song encourages listeners to remain firm in their convictions. "Fire" was the next single and opening track on the album and was released on February 13, 2026. Based on Jeremiah 20: 9, the trio intends for the song to be a contagious expression of joy and a prayer for Jesus to ignite a deeper passion for Him in every believer, whether they are new to the faith or lifelong Christians. " The Night Will Be No More" is the climatic cinematic final track on the album featuring string arrangements, the trio's three-part harmony and guest vocals by Christian singer Rachael Lampa. - Stand (2006)
Stand is the seventh studio album by the Christian vocal group Avalon , released on January 24, 2006 by Sparrow Records. Shaun Shankel produced a majority of the album with Mark Hammond producing two tracks and Bernie Herms producing the track "When the Time Comes." The release marks the group celebrating 10 years since their 1996 debut album . Stand moves Avalon away from the heavy synthesizers and drum loops of their earlier work, favoring a more "organic" pop sound that ranges from upbeat tracks to emotional ballads. The standout tracks include the lead single "Love Won't Leave You" and the ballad "Orphans of God." Written by Joel Lindsey and Twila LaBar, "Orphans of God" (the second single) carries a message of universal acceptance and divine grace. The lyrics emphasize that no matter how broken or "unworthy" someone may feel, they are never truly alone or cast out by God. The song was a Top 5 hit on the Radio & Records Christian Inspo chart and in 2007, it was nominated for a Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year. The tracks "Somehow You Are" and "Slowly" were co-written by American R&B singer - songwriter James Ingram. Avalon also records a cover of Russ Taff 's 1983 signature song "We Will Stand" featuring Taff himself on guest vocals. The song served as an inspiration for their 2008 covers album Another Time, Another Place: Timeless Christian Classics , in which this track also appears in. Stand debuted and peaked at number 7 on the Top Christian Albums and at number 160 on the Billboard 200, making their final appearance on the latter chart. Track listing 1. The Creed is the sixth studio album by the Christian vocal group Avalon , released on February 24, 2004 by Sparrow Records. Brown Bannister produced the album with co-production by Charlie Peacock and Tedd T. on some tracks. A number of firsts for Avalon for this release: this is the first album to include CCM vocalist Greg Long (group member Janna Long's husband), who replaced Michael Passons after his unexpected departure in mid-2003 and this is the first full-length album with Melissa Greene, who joined in 2003 and sang the new tracks on their first compilation album Testify to Love: The Very Best of Avalon . Also a first, the lead single "All" did not top the Christian music charts, unlike their previous singles have done. On Radio & Records Christian AC chart, it peaked at number 2. The song has also charted in Christian Inspo (# 2) and Christian CHR (# 22). It made the Top 10 on the Billboard Christian music charts. The second single "You Were There," sung by group member Jody McBrayer, is a power ballad that reflects on God's constant presence throughout history and in personal struggles. It is another one of Avalon's most popular songs and has been performed numerous times on their concert tours. The song climbed up to number 2 on the R&R Christian Inspo chart. Long sings lead on only two songs: the title song, which he sings with McBrayer, and the solo track "I Wanna Be With You." The track "Overjoyed" is a re-recording and is lifted from Janna Long's 2002 solo album Janna . Passons co-wrote the title track with Cindy Morgan . The Creed debuted and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums and at number 104 on the Billboard 200 Albums charts. - Hope (2026) (Petra studio album)
Hope is the 21st studio album by the Christian rock band Petra . It was released on January 5, 2026 by Girder Music, first to digital download and streaming formats, on CDs a week later on January 12, 2026 and on three color variant collector's edition vinyls two months later on March 2026. The band produced the album themselves. Hope is Petra's first new release of all-new material in over 20 years, following up their 2003 album Jekyll & Hyde and their 2005 live album Farewell . Since their temporary split, incarnations have played reunion shows in the years and long-time members, guitarist and songwriter Bob Hartman and lead singer John Schlitt, have released a worship album entitled Vertical Expression under the name II Guys From Petra in 2007. In 2010, Hartman and former Petra members agreed to reunite to record the album, Back to the Rock , in the fall, with a subsequent world tour. The lineup featured Hartman on guitars, Greg X. Volz on lead vocals, Mark Kelly on bass, Louie Weaver on drums and John Lawry on keyboards. Under the name Classic Petra, it's the first time they have toured together since 1985 when they were promoting Beat the System . Flash forward to 2025 with the current Petra line-up of Hartman, Schillt, Lawry, Greg Bailey on bass guitar and Christian Borneo on drums. Hope was preceded by its lead single and lyric video "Deliver Us," which was released digitally on September 26, 2025. Initially, Petra did not have the intention of releasing the song as a single, however, they decided to release it because they felt that "with recent events the time is urgent." "Deliver Us" is centered around the idea that "our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the forces of darkness." Girder Music noted that the timing of Hope 's release "could not be more significant" because of being released at a time when "the world feels fractured, shaken by tragedy, and desperate for truth." Girder Music named specific events, in particular the assassination of Charlie Kirk, an American political activist, which they noted as a "reminder of our nation's division and unrest." The album was intended to bring hope and "fierce reliance on God's deliverance" in spite of the "chaos and fear." "Deliver Us" has topped the Christian Rock chart by ChristianRock.Net . Hope features ten powerful tracks that explore faith, perseverance, repentance, redemption, and trust in God’s promises. From the hard-hitting opener “Filthy Lucre” to the triumphant closer “Deliver Us,” the album takes listeners on a journey that is both introspective and uplifting. Songs like “Kiss the Coals,” “Oxygen,” and “Skin in the Game” confront hard truths, while “We Rejoice in Hope,” “Miracle Maker,” and “There Will Still Be a Dawn” shine with encouragement and assurance. Tracks such as “Thorns” and “Looking Back” reflect on sacrifice, growth, and God’s faithfulness through every season of life. To accompany the CD, Hartman wrote a 45-page Bible study guide entitled Hope Bible Studies . It contain lyrics for all 10 songs, corresponding scripture, as well as thoughts and study from Hartman. It was created to deepen the album’s message and provide an even more meaningful experience. Track listing All songs written by Bob Hartman, except where noted. 1. Filthy Lucre -3:18 2. It was his first and only released by Christian Records with distribution and manufacturing by Butterfly International Distribution on March 30, 2004. On Born Again , Long co-produced two tracks with George King, along with Don Koch and Michael-Anthony "Mooki" Taylor each producing tracks. The album has a melodic and light R&B sound. Two singles were released with the title song being the first single. The track specifically describes a personal spiritual transformation, using imagery of being baptized in the Gulf of Mexico by the singer's father to signify a "change so deep within." The second and final single "Fifteen" explores the idea that it may take multiple encounters (meaning you may be the first, second, etc.) with the Gospel before a person chooses to believe in Jesus. - Now (2001)
Now is the fourth studio album by Christian singer -songwriter Greg Long , released on March 6, 2001 by Word Records. Long returns with his first new album in three years. During that time, Long married Avalon member Janna Potter in May 2000. Now was preceded by the lead single "Sufficiency of Grace," which was released to Christian radio in late 2000. The rock-fueled, guitar-driven track is based on scripture in 2 Corinthians 12:9 and focuses on the theme of God's grace being enough to sustain someone through difficult times and "lowest places." It was Long's final number one song on the Christian AC chart. The second single "In the Waiting" is the standout ballad track on Now . The lyrics explore the difficulty of waiting for God's timing during periods of pain and uncertainty. It emphasizes finding a "peace beyond understanding" even when life feels stagnant or silent. The song did very well on Christian Inspo radio as well as on Christian AC radio. Long worked with three producers on Now : musician Chris Rodriguez, Todd Collins and Don Koch. It is the first album that Long has not worked with John and Dino Elefante, who have produced his previous three albums. Long's wife Janna was also one of the backing vocalists. Now is the first album since his debut release Cross My Heart that it did not chart on the Billboard Top Christian Albums. It was Long's final album on the Word Records label after more than five years. Track listing 1. Sufficiency of Grace (Greg Pope) -3:17 2.
