For God and God Alone is the third studio album by Christian singer Steve Green , released on August 21, 1986 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Greg Nelson. With themes of family and faith, For God and God Alone was another successful album for Green and it was Green's only RIAA Gold-certified album. By 2001, the album sold half a million copies. Highlights include the title song "God and God Alone" originally written and recorded by Phill McHugh, "Household of Faith," sung with Green's wife Marijean Green and the Easter-focused track "Calvary's Love." Eight of the album's ten tracks were orchestrated and arranged by Alan Moore and David T. Clydesdale. Green also released a concert video in 1987 titled For God and God Alone: In Concert Ministry Video featuring 12 live performances, interview footage with Green and his family and the music video for "Enter In." The album peaked at number 3 by early 1987 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. A Mighty Fortress: A Celebration of Foundational Truths  is a musical project extended play (EP) created by Christian singer Steve Green . It was released in early 1986 on Sparrow Records' Birdwing label. Based on the Martin Luther church hymn "A Mighty Fortress is Our God," the cantada features songs that deal with the emphasis of worshiping God in awe and reverence. Green arranged the songs with producer Greg Nelson and Green co-wrote the original songs with songwriters Niles Borop and Dwight Liles with additional music and lyrics by Nelson and Gary McSpaddon on the song "Jesus Lord to Me" and features Green, Jon Mohr and Linda Dove as soloists with narration by Dr. Millard Reed, who was the pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, Tennessee. Steve Green is the debut solo album by Christian singer Steve Green . It was released on March 29, 1984 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Greg Nelson, who is best-known for producing Sandi Patty 's albums throughout the 1980's. Green, Patty, and Larnelle Harris were the top inspirational singers in that time period and have all worked with Nelson. After his time with The Gaither Vocal Band and his one and only Christian Rock album with White Heart , Green released his first album of pop and inspirational songs, often referred to as "the male Sandi Patty," because Green has the same similar style of music that Patty records. Even before he was a soloist, Green has sung backing vocals on Patty's albums. The lead single was "Proclaim the Glory of the Lord," which did well on the combined Christian AC/CHR chart where it climbed up to number 12. But it was the track, "People Need the Lord" that stood out. "People Need the Lord" was ranked at number 44 in the 2006 book The 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music by CCM Magazine . It's an evangelistic song that resonated with Green, because, according to Green, his missionary parents gave their lives to evangelize and the song connects with people in a big way. It was a big hit on the Christian Inspirational chart and gave Green his first number one song. It is his signature song and he still performs this song on his set list at his concerts. United We Stand/Divided We Fall is the eighth and final studio album by American singer - songwriter Benny Hester . It was released in late 1990 on Frontline Records with distribution by Benson Records. The album was produced by Hester and Bill Baumgart. The title of the album is taken from the rock track "Break Out," which was sent to Christian Rock radio as the lead single, while "Rain, Rain, Rain" was the lead single to Christian AC and CHR formats. The album is pop/rock with some percussion to give it a world music feel. Hester and guitarist and songwriter Marty Walsh wrote seven songs, with songwriter Claire Cloninger co-writing the track "Too Bad She Didn't Want Me" and Hester writing the tracks, "Love Is Made Of This" and "Rain, Rain, Rain" by himself. Hester covers the American spiritual track "Climbing Jacob's Ladder" with arrangement by Baumgart featuring a children's choir. United We Stand/Divided We Fall is Hester's second album on the Frontline label and is his final album release to date. After the album's release, Hester was focusing behind the scenes and served as one of the producers on the teen variety-comedy series Roundhouse  that aired on Nickelodeon for two years from 1992 to 1994. Hester co-composed and co-wrote the music for the series. Guitarist Walsh was part of the Roundhouse Band. Through the Window is the sixth studio album by American singer - songwriter Benny Hester , released on January 21, 1987 by Myrrh/Word Records. The album was produced by Dan Posthuma. Released after the success of his previous album Benny From Here containing the Christian number one hit "When God Ran," Through the Window is a deeply introspective album recorded when Hester was going through a divorce from his first wife. Like his 1983 album Legacy , this album was largely forgettable and ignored. The lead single "Remember Me" did well and reached number two on the Christian radio charts. An Easter song about the robber who said to Jesus when they were crucified "Remember me when you enter into your kingdom" and Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you today, that you will be with me in paradise." The track featured guest vocals by future alternative country singer Julie Miller. Other artists have contributed songs for the album including Steven Curtis Chapman for writing "Wonderful Invention of Love" and Steve Krikorian (known professionally as Tonio K ) for writing "It's Over Love." Benny From Here is the fifth studio album by American singer - songwriter Benny Hester , released on August 5, 1985 by Myrrh/Word Records. The album was produced by Dan Posthuma. It was recorded at five recording studios in California. Benny From Here was considered another breakthrough album. Hester previously had his first breakthrough in the early 1980s with Nobody Knows Me Like You and its title song. This time with this album, its lead single was the ballad "When God Ran," a modern pop telling of the Prodigal Son and it would be a raving success at Christian radio where it would top the Christian music charts for 13 weeks. "When God Ran" was named as one the 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music by CCM Magazine in 2006, listing it at number 81. It has been covered by many artists, most notably by Phillips, Craig & Dean, whose version was recorded in their 1999 album Restoration . "When God Ran" was named the number 11 song of the 1980s in Christian music. Hester and songwriter John Parenti wrote three songs together including "When God Ran." Hester's Christian Rock single "Secret Thoughts" also charted and it too topped that chart, giving him number one songs across the board on the CCM charts on the same week. Nobody Knows Me Like You is the third studio album by American singer - songwriter Benny Hester . It was released on May 7, 1981 by Myrrh/Word Records. The album was produced by musician Michael Omartian, who was just fresh from producing The Imperials ' latest album at the time, Priority , and from winning three Grammy Awards for producing and arranging Christopher Cross' self-titled debut album. After a slow start, Nobody Knows Like You began its climb on the Billboard Top Inspirational Albums chart (later renamed Top Christian Albums) and peaked at number 25. The self-written title song did very well at Christian radio where it was a Top 5 hit and it was one of the earliest songs to crossover into the mainstream market. "Nobody Knows Me Like You" climbed to number 41 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart by late November 1981. It would have made the Hot 100 chart, but did not due to the song being an airplay-only single and was not released commercially. The album was recorded at United Recording Studios in Las Vegas, Nevada and produced by Brent Maher. It features Elvis Presley's rhythm section The TCB Band playing on Benny... According to Wikipedia about the album, " the finished masters and packaged albums, ready for record company distribution, were lost in the studio and warehouse fire that destroyed United Recording Studios. Hester's first album was never released. Only a few albums survived the fire, ending up in the hands of collectors." Encore...For Future Generations is the 11th and final studio album by the Christian male vocal group 4Him . It was released on January 24, 2006 and their only album on INO Records (later Fair Trade Services) with distribution by Integrity and Sony Music. The album is a collection of the group's hit songs re-recorded including a near 11-minute medley of "The Message," "Measure of a Man," "A Man You Would Write About" and "Why" as well as a new track "Unity (We Stand)." After the release of their 2003 album Visible , 4Him's future as a group was uncertain. After much thought and prayers, the group decided to part ways in 2004. Andy Chrisman and Mark Harris were the first two members to release solo albums. Chrisman's solo album was released that same year while Harris' solo album The Line Between the Two a year later.
