  • Another Friday Night (1989)

Another Friday Night is the fifth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Kenny Marks , released on November 14, 1989 by DaySpring/Word Records. The album is produced by Bubba Smith. Two years after Make It Right , Marks' next album, Another Friday Night 's theme is on loneliness. The final chapter on Johnny and Jeannie is on the track "Next Time You See Johnny." Accompanied by a music video, the couple whom we met in the previous music video, "The Party's Over," were married and now they're divorced. Johnny left Jeannie with their son. The son feels hurt since his father left, but, in the song's lyric, there is a "fire of forgiveness" and that both Jeannie and their son will be alright without him. Marks and musician Phil Maderia wrote a majority of the album, with the exception of the opening track "Running On Love" which was written by Steve Forbert. Marks also released Another Friday Night video EP on VHS in early 1990. It features music videos for "Next Time You See Johnny" and "I'll Be a Friend to You" plus an interview. "I'll Be a Friend to You" was nominated for a Dove Award for Short Form Music Video of the Year in 1991. Track listing All songs written by Kenny Marks and Phil Maderia, except where noted. 1. • Make It Right (1987)

Make It Right is the fourth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Kenny Marks , released on May 26, 1987 by DaySpring/Word Records. The album is produced by Bubba Smith. Make It Right features the title song which was released as the lead single and topped the Christian CHR chart for 8 weeks and reached the Top 5 on the Christian AC chart. The song is for people who are looking for love, and need to first discover the source of love in God. "Say a Prayer for Me Tonight" was inspired by a true story of a young man who meets Marks after a concert for counseling and asks Marks to pray for him. The young man committed suicide a few days later. A music video was made for the song "White Dress," and features an interpretive dancer as Marks sings. The track addresses the illegitimate guilt that haunts many children who feel responsible for their parents' marital problems. The album is very thematic as it deals with situations in everyday life. The Video Mix of the Attitude track, "The Party's Over," is also included. The album's centerpiece and highlight is the third single "Your Great Name." During her recovery, she was reading a verse in John 11:4 where Jesus says "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's son may be glorified through it" (New International Version). Grant's best song since "Held" five years earlier, the song has been Gold certified by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of half a million downloads by early 2019 and it is Grant's most streamed track by Spotify with more that 21 million streams as of 2025. • Relentless (2008)

Relentless is the sixth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Natalie Grant , released on February 12, 2008 by Curb Records. The album was produced by Bernie Herms and Shaun Shankel. Relentless is Grant's first album in three years after the success of her 2005 album Awaken and winning back-to-back Dove Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year. The album continues her adult contemporary sound but she also rocks out a little bit on the opening track "I Will Not Be Moved." The song's chorus also incorporates the church hymn "Christ the Solid Rock" with the line: "With Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, I will not be moved..." Relentless ' sound also has some ballads, pop/rock and some R&B. The overall theme of the album is finding hope within life's challenges and was inspired by Women of Faith's Revolve Tour for teen girls with their stories and testimonies. The album was preceded by its lead single "In Better Hands" that was released in October 2007 followed by "I Will Not Be Moved" which was released in March 2008, just a month after Relentless was released. Both were Top 5 hits on the Billboard Christian charts. The album itself debuted and peaked at number 2 on the Top Christian Albums and at number 81 on the Billboard 200 Albums charts.
